[For context: A-Spec people are incredibly diverse, with varying relationship preferences and types of Aromanticism/Asexuality. We’re aiming to create an app that will help connect Asexual and/or Aromantic people across the world and give them the power to search for the specific relationships they want]
Welcome readers! The updates go as follows:
- More to explore in Prototype – The rough draft is largely finished, which you can view here if you’re curious about exploring it yourself! (Not all artboards are included; I think I made too many because Adobe won’t let me share 4 of them. The ones missing can be viewed in the previous update).
I’ve explained what a prototype is in a previous update, but I figure I should include it here as well. A prototype is a mock version of an app. Basically, you can click on buttons and explore how A-Café looks, but you won’t be able to actually “use” anything or create an account. - Moving on to Frontend Coding – Since the prototype is basically done, we feel comfortable transitioning to frontend coding. Our frontend and backend devs have been working hard in the background to figure out important features of the app, so it’s exciting to finally fully embrace this stage of development! There might be cosmetic updates in the future, but from here on out these updates will be function-focused until the Beta is ready.
That’s it for now! If you’d like to follow along more closely on our development journey, feel free to join our discord!
